Daily Pastures
How Daily Pastures is made
Daily Pastures uses AI, and you deserve to know exactly what that means — what it does, what it never does, and who is responsible for it.
Scripture
The Scripture is Scripture.
Every verse in Daily Pastures is the real, unaltered text of the Bible, drawn word-for-word from established translations. AI selects which passage meets your season; it never writes, edits, paraphrases, or “improves” Scripture, and it cannot invent a verse. If it’s in quotation marks with a reference, it’s the Bible — you can open yours and check. We hope you do.
Boundaries
The devotional is composed for you, within firm boundaries.
The reflection, the prayer, and the declaration are written by AI — freshly, each day, for the season you’ve named. That is what makes them personal rather than one-size-fits-all. But they are not written freely. They are composed inside theological guardrails we wrote and enforce:
- Every reflection must be anchored to the day’s Scripture — the verse leads, the reflection follows.
- Nothing may promise outcomes. Daily Pastures points to God’s character and the believer’s position in Christ, never to guaranteed results, timelines, or breakthroughs.
- Nothing may claim to speak for God. A devotional here helps you dwell on the Word — it is never “a word from the Lord to you.”
- The voice must stay within historic, Scripture-grounded Christian teaching — no novel doctrine, no private revelation, no speculation.
Accountability
A person is responsible for it.
Daily Pastures isn’t an AI let loose on Scripture. The guardrails above were written by a believer, are tested continually, and every part of how devotionals are generated is reviewed by a human — me. If a devotional ever misses the mark, that’s mine to answer for, and I want to hear about it: support@pastures.ai.

What it isn’t
It will never replace your Bible, your pastor, or your church.
Daily Pastures is a companion for your daily time in the Word — nothing more. It is not a pastor, a counsellor, or a substitute for the body of Christ. Our prayer is that through Daily Pastures, you get pointed towards Christ.
If you are in crisis, please reach out to your local emergency services or a crisis line; this app is not emergency help.
Privacy
What you share stays yours.
What you bring to Daily Pastures — your focus, your notes, your highlights — is used for one purpose only: preparing your devotional. It is never shared, never shown to anyone else, never used for advertising, and never used to train AI models.
The full detail — including how your focus reaches our AI providers, and what their terms bind them to — is in our Privacy Policy.
Why
Why we built it this way.
Most devotionals are written for everyone, which means they’re written for no one in particular. AI is the tool that lets one small team prepare a word for your season — the way a good friend might choose a passage for you, knowing what you’re walking through. The technology chooses and composes; the Word does the work. We are glad to be honest about the difference.
