Pastures
Terms of Service
Last updated: June 26, 2026
1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Virtual Trade Tours LLC, a limited liability company registered in the State of Texas, United States (“Pastures,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of the Pastures mobile application, the website at pastures.ai, and related services (together, the “Service”).
By creating an account, downloading the app, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy (which is incorporated here by reference). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Who can use Pastures (eligibility)
You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater, to use the app. By using the app, you represent and warrant that you meet this eligibility requirement. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms. You confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are legally able to enter into this agreement.
3. Your account
To use most features you create an account (by email, or through Sign in with Google or Apple). You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@pastures.ai if you believe your account has been compromised. You may delete your account at any time from within the app (see Section 17).
4. What Pastures provides
Pastures is a daily Scripture devotional. You describe, in your own words (by text or voice), what is on your heart (your “focus”); the Service interprets that into a biblical theme and provides a daily meditation built around it — typically a Scripture passage, a short reflection, a prayer, and a declaration. The Service also lets you save devotionals, keep private notes, review your history, and share devotional content with others.
Scripture quotations are drawn from public-domain translations (for example, the Berean Standard Bible, the World English Bible, and the King James Version). We may add, change, or remove features, translations, or content over time.
5. Free taste, subscriptions, and billing (Pastures+)
Free taste. New accounts include a 14-day free taste of the full personalized experience. No payment information is required for the taste. When the taste ends, generation of new daily meditations pauses, but you keep read access to your existing history, saved devotionals, and notes.
Pastures+ subscription. Continued access to the ongoing personalized daily word and other premium features requires a paid subscription (“Pastures+”), offered as monthly or annual auto-renewing plans, and (where available) reduced or sponsored access.
Purchases are made through the app stores. All payments for Pastures+ are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their terms and payment methods — not by us directly. By subscribing you also agree to the applicable store’s terms.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. Your store account is charged at confirmation of purchase and at the start of each renewal period, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends (or as the store specifies).
Managing and cancelling. You manage, change, or cancel your subscription through your App Store or Google Play account settings — not from within the Pastures app. Deleting the app or your Pastures account does not, by itself, cancel a subscription; you must cancel through the store to stop billing.
Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. We generally cannot issue refunds for store-processed purchases.
Prices and changes. Prices may vary by region and may change over time. Where required, we or the store will give you notice of price changes and, where required, seek your consent before a renewal at a new price.
Sponsored / reduced access. We may offer scholarships, gifts, or sponsored access at our discretion. Such access is a courtesy, may be time-limited, and may be modified or withdrawn.
6. App stores and platform terms
Your use of the app is also subject to the rules of the platform you downloaded it from. For Apple devices, you acknowledge that: these Terms are between you and us, not Apple; Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app; Apple is not responsible for any product warranties or claims relating to the app; and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them. Similar acknowledgments apply to Google for Android devices. If there is a conflict between these Terms and a store’s terms regarding store-processed purchases, the store’s terms control for those purchases.
7. About the devotional content (please read)
AI-generated content. The reflections, prayer prompts, and declarations are generated with the help of artificial intelligence and shaped by our editorial and theological guidelines. While we work to keep the content faithful, calm, and grounded in Scripture, it is produced automatically and may occasionally contain errors, awkward phrasing, or interpretations you disagree with. The selected Scripture text comes from the public-domain translations noted above.
Devotional use only. The content is offered for personal encouragement and reflection. It is not authoritative theological instruction, doctrine, or counsel, and it is not a substitute for your own study of Scripture, the teaching of your church, or guidance from a pastor or trusted spiritual leader. You are responsible for how you understand and apply it.
8. Not medical, mental-health, or professional advice — and not a crisis service
Pastures offers spiritual encouragement. It is not medical, psychological, therapeutic, legal, financial, or other professional advice, and using it does not create any professional relationship.
Pastures is not an emergency or crisis service. If you are in crisis, thinking about harming yourself, or experiencing a medical or mental-health emergency, please contact your local emergency services or a qualified professional or helpline immediately. Do not rely on the Service for urgent help. Always seek the advice of a qualified professional for any medical or mental-health concern.
9. Your content (your focus, notes, and other inputs)
You own your content. The focus descriptions you write, the notes you keep, and other information you provide (“Your Content”) remain yours.
License to operate the Service. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display Your Content for the purpose of providing the Service to you — for example, to generate your meditations, save your notes, and show your history back to you. We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use the private content of your notes or focus to train third-party AI models. Our handling of Your Content is described in the Privacy Policy.
Sensitive information. Your notes and focus may be deeply personal. We apply technical and organizational safeguards described in the Privacy Policy. Please do not include information you are not comfortable storing, and see the Privacy Policy for exactly how your data is protected.
10. Sharing
The Service lets you share devotional content (such as a verse and reflection) with others, with a small “Pastures” attribution. Your private notes and focus text are never included in anything you share. You are responsible for what you choose to share and with whom.
11. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Service unlawfully or to harm others; attempt to access another user’s data or our systems without authorization; reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or interfere with the Service; resell or commercially exploit the Service or its content without permission; or misuse the AI features to generate content that is illegal, harmful, or abusive. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
12. Our intellectual property
The Pastures name, logo, brand, app, design, and original content (excluding public-domain Scripture and Your Content) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial devotional use, subject to these Terms. No other rights are granted.
13. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers (for example, app stores, cloud hosting and database services, AI providers, subscription management, and push-notification delivery). Your use may be subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services we do not control. Details of the providers that process your data are in the Privacy Policy.
14. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the content will meet your expectations or be free of inaccuracies.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD $20.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or of applicable law, to the extent permitted by law.
17. Termination and account deletion
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from within the app; deleting your account removes your associated data as described in the Privacy Policy. Remember to also cancel any active subscription through your app store (deleting your account does not cancel store billing — see Section 5). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (for example, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.
18. Changes to the Service and to these Terms
We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, in-app or by email) and update the “Last updated” date. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
19. Governing law and disputes
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall first be subject to good-faith negotiations between the parties for a period of thirty (30) days. If the dispute is not resolved through negotiation, it shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in the State of Texas. The arbitrator’s decision shall be final and binding.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property rights or to prevent irreparable harm.
YOU AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION.
20. Miscellaneous
If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms (with the Privacy Policy) are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
